2016 Triple Bypass Training Plans

Make  2016 your strongest year on the bike yet! We have designed our Triple Bypass general training plans to prepare any rider, from a relatively new cyclist to experienced rider, to finish the Triple Bypass riding strong. We have both beginner and expert plans for sale for the Westbound (Saturday), Eastbound (Sunday) and Double Triple Routes. Available in 23-week or 15-week lengths, we’re sure to have a plan to fit your needs and schedule. Our training plans are designed to work into everyday life and provide the structure needed to succeed. 23-weeks plans begin on February 1st and the 15-week plans begin on March 28th to have you ready for the Triple Bypass on July 9th-10th, 2016. We also offer one-on-one coaching and lactate threshold testing for those looking to really take their riding to the next level.

Decide which plan is right for you:

  1. Beginner Plans
    • These plans are a good fit for relatively new cyclists, those that have never ridden the Triple Bypass before and riders that average less than 100 miles a week in the saddle. They would also work for the time strapped cyclist looking to maximize the available hours they have to ride.
  2. Experienced Plans
    • These plans are perfect for cyclists that have been riding for 2+years, those that have ridden the Triple Bypass before (or other challenging century rides) and average around 100 miles or more a week. If you’ve got the extra time, and desire, to dedicate to your training these are the plans for you.
  3. 23-week or 15-week Plans
    • While training longer is usually better when it comes to endurance sports, for the plan to be effective you actually have to be riding! If you’re a fair weather rider that only hops on the bike when the temperature heats up, you would be setting yourself up for success with the 15-week plan. However, if you’re the type of rider that braves the cold (or is willing to spend time riding indoors) the 23-week plan is the way to go.
    • Choose the 23-week plan anytime up until the end of February. It’s ok to start a few weeks late, you’ll still get most of the benefit from the plan.
    • Choose the 15-week plan up until the end of April. Better late than never!!!
